Precautions for installing pressure transmitter
2025-06-30 10:11Key points when installing a pressure transmitter
When installing a pressure transmitter, you need to pay attention to several key points to ensure that it can work accurately and stably. First, make sure that the selection of the installation location meets the measurement requirements to avoid unnecessary errors. Secondly, ensure that the electronic circuit of the transmitter is not interfered with by the outside world to ensure the accuracy of signal conversion. In addition, pay attention to the control of the medium temperature to prevent the high temperature environment from affecting the performance of the transmitter. By following these installation points, you can ensure that the pressure transmitter can perform at its best in various application scenarios.
1. When installing the pressure transmitter, you must strictly follow the correct connection line diagram to ensure the accuracy of the connection.
2. Before use, the pressure transmitter needs to be fully inspected and calibrated to prevent damage or vibration during transportation from affecting the accuracy of the measurement.
3. The installation of the pressure transmitter should be kept perpendicular to the horizontal plane to ensure the stability of the measurement.
4. The measuring point and the installation point need to be kept at the same horizontal position to eliminate the measurement error caused by position difference.
5. To reduce the impact of vibration on the pressure transmitter, vibration reduction devices and fixing devices should be installed to ensure its stability.
6. If the temperature of the measured medium exceeds 60℃, a liquid-filled elbow device (condensation ring) should be installed to cool down the medium to prevent the impact of high temperature.
7. During the installation process, it is necessary to ensure good sealing and avoid leakage, especially for flammable, explosive, toxic and harmful media.
8. When used in industrial sites, it is recommended to use metal pipes to protect the transmitter lead cable to ensure its safety and durability.
About the selection of installation site and the determination of pressure pipes and pressure points
Determine the installation site
①. The pressure transmitter should be placed in a location that is easy to observe and repair;
②. Try to avoid the installation site from being affected by vibration and high temperature.
Laying of pressure pipes
①. The thickness of the pressure pipe should be moderate, and its inner diameter is usually within the range of 6~10mm, and the length should be as short as possible, and the maximum length should not exceed 50 meters;
②. When installed horizontally, the pressure pipe should maintain an inclination of 1:10 to 1:20, which will help the liquid (or gas) accumulated in the pipe to be discharged smoothly;
③. A stop valve should be installed between the pressure tapping port and the pressure gauge to facilitate the repair and maintenance of the pressure transmitter.
